An Invitation from Linda Duvall to Join The Mourn and Mutter Chorus

You are invited to join other non-singers like myself in an aspen bush near Saskatoon to create a non-traditional chorus of earthy sounds to honour these trees.

Aspens are unique in that all have initially grown from a single grandmother tree who supported the younger trees through an underground network of roots. In the company of the aspens and other non-singers, we will join in a supportive community in making sounds for the trees. We may hum, mutter, say words, groan, scream, laugh or cry.

This particular location evokes histories of personal and environmental grief, survival, and hidden stories both human and non-human.
